A word appears at the top of the screen — either an English word or a Japanese (kana) word, depending on the direction you've chosen.
Letter or kana tiles launch from the bottom of the screen. Some are the characters you need; others are decoys mixed in to test you.
Swipe through each correct tile in the exact order needed to spell the answer. A fill-in-the-blank progress row shows what you've completed so far.

Slice correct tiles back-to-back to build combos and boost your score. Finish the word before the timer runs out to move on to the next one.
Switch modes any time from the main menu.

Both directions at random, for a real test of your bilingual reflexes.
Power-ups appear during play — grab them to turn the tide in a tough round.
